Cloudripper

Cloudripper (13,525 ft) is located at the northern end of the palisades area. This was a Sierra Club trip lead by Ed Morente on July 30-31, 2005. It is reached from the South Lake area near the town of Bishop.

South Lake and Lake Sabrina Locations


From California State Highway 395 turn west onto Highway 168 at Bishop. Lake Sabrina is at the western end of Highway 168. For South Lake turn south from HIghway 168 onto the signed road.

Trails in the South Lake Area


The main trails in the South Lake area are Bishop Pass Trail (solid red) leading south to Bishop Pass; Treasure Lakes Trail (solid blue) leading south to the Treasure Lakes area; Green Lake Trail (dotted black) leading east to Green Lake and beyond. The red dotted line shows the standard class 2 cross country route to Cloudripper up the Cloudripper via the North Ridge.
