Split Mountain

Split Mountain (14058 ft / 4285 m) is the southernmost 14,000 ft peak in the Palisades area located east of the town of Big Pine along Highway 395. The easiest route is class 2 or 3 (depending on time of year) via the North Slope. Jennie Thomas led our group to the peak on a Sierra Club trip on May 26-28, 2007.
