Charlotte Dome (10,690 ft / 3258 m) is located near Bubbs Creek in Kings Canyon National Park. The 1,000 ft+ South Face looks over Bubbs Creeek to the Brewer Group. Jeff Dhungana and I climbed the South Face (5.8 / 11 pitches) in a long day from Roads End at the western end of Kings Canyon. We topped out at just before dark and bivied on top of the rock. I shiverred all night and got minimal sleep in a dazed trance. It was a demanding climb with a 6 hour approach with mostly 5.6 to 5.8 climbing on steep rock all the way to the top.
