Independence Peak (11,744 ft / 3580 m) is located in the Kearsarge Pass area next to Onion Valley. It is clearly visible from Highway 395 at Independence. There is a moderate class 3 route to the top from the Onion Valley car park. I hike this on a Sierra Club trip lead by Asher Waxman.
